Living in Orihuela Costa

Orihuela Costa is a charming area known for its long golden sand beaches with clear water and its wide range of activities that are  of historical, cultural and economic importance.  The area offers some very large green areas. Here you can also practice a varied offer of outdoor activities from horse riding, to basketball or tennis on the many sports facilities.

If you love Golf: Orihuela Costa offers some of the best greens in the Mediterranean, with excellent courses that are internationally renowned. There are five golf courses in the area of Orihuela Costa: Real Club de Golf Campoamor, Club de Golf Villamartin, Las Colinas Golf & Country Club, Las Ramblas Golf Club and the Golf Club Vistabella. In total there are over 30 golf courses to choose from on the Costa Blanca, including the brand new golf resort Font del LLop near Alicante city. The weekly market in Orihuela Costa is on Saturdays. Here you can find just about anything from locally grown fruits and vegetables, olives, spices etc. to kitchen utensils, Spanish pottery and clothing. In the actual town of Orihuela, about 30 kilometers inland behind Orihuela Costa, the weekly market can be found on Tuedays and on Fridays too. 

Living near the Mediterranean wouldn´t be complete without watersports. In addition to its charming beaches the area offers some fantastic water sports. That you can, thanks to the privileged climate of the area with more than 320 days of sun per year, practice almost year round!
