Even the smaller properties in the nice areas are still highly profitable with 45m2 (480Sqft), despite being almost 50% smaller. The average monthly rent cost drops by only 12% coming in at €602.
If you add nice furniture and a stable internet connection via Wifi, monhly rents can be as much as 850,- euros and more for a brand new 2 bedroom apartment of 85m2 with private garden or rooftop terrace. Smaller units that are nicely furnished can yield as much as 780,- euros per month.
There are two routes to go down when renting out property in places like Benidorm, you can rent them out on a long-term basis for 12 months and above and grant yourself security and consistency with the income. Or you can charge a higher price for your rent and place them for short-term rent on websites such as Airbnb where there is less security but profits can be dramatically higher.
Thanks to the internets ever-expanding resources it’s easier than ever to reach customers with rental possibilities on platforms such as Airbnb, where 1300 people on an average search for ‘Airbnb Benidorm’ a month! That is a large number of potential customers who are seeking for an apartment to rent, as opposed to buying a property in a less popular location where the search volumes are dramatically less.
